Ann-Marie has worked in the areas of Education and Mental Health for forty years. Ann-Marie has worked professionally as a Primary-school Teacher, Teacher of the Deaf, Counsellor, Art Psychotherapist, Psychotherapist, Clinical Supervisor, Lecturer and Trainer.
Ann-Marie has worked clinically in the contexts of Adult Psychiatry, Addiction Treatment, Adolescent Residential Care and Cancer Care.
She has served as a Core Trainer, Group Psychotherapist, Programme Leader, Research Supervisor and Academic Director in several counselling and psychotherapy training colleges and organisations. Ann-Marie has worked in private practice in Galway City, in Asia and Online since 2004.
Ann-Marie works with Adult, Child and Adolescent clients.
Based on the clinical work of many years, Ann-Marie has designed and facilitated various parenting programmes and parenting support groups.
Ann-Marie offers Clinical Supervision to Creative Arts Therapists, Counsellors, Psychotherapists and Reflexive Supervision to a wide range of other professionals.
Ann-Marie uses an Integrative Approach that is tailored to the needs of each individual client. The approach is deeply influenced by Psychoanalysis, Depth Psychology and Trauma-informed and Body-based Approaches to Psychotherapy.
