Clay Field Therapy©
Clay Field Therapy is a specific way of working with clay for the resolution of Trauma. It is a sensori-motor art therapy approach which is incorporates the most up-to-date neuroscientific understanding of Trauma. It offers a safe and sound method for the resolution of Trauma which is increasingly validated by research.
The regressive quality of clay in a guided therapeutic process allows the client to address and repair early attachment issues, developmental setbacks and traumatic events in a very safe and mostly non-verbal way. The skilled 'bottom-up' approach neutralises the intensity of the effects of trauma in the body and facilitates neurological repair making it easier to work through issues in a thorough manner which precludes the possibility of retraumatisation.
Art Psychotherapy with Children and Adolescents
